Hexalum and Astral Series
(1975 - 1983) After the aluminum constructions, color became an important factor in the Hexalum Series. I began to use sheet aircraft honeycomb, a contiguous hexagonal celled material and expanded grid mesh. As the viewer moves across the painting they become the kinetic force activating changes of perception based on angle of view. ~Max
